Use This Resource To Find Broadband Networks In Your Area

Sep 30, 2010 in VOIP News

I’m not a very patient person. Because of this, I’ll often pass on a good deal and pay more just so I can get something more quickly. So I kind of acted out fo character when it came time to find another ISP. I wanted service that was reliable but didn’t cost me too much. So I decided to take the time to find the right plan for me, and discovered a site that shows broadband networks in your area.

I had to enter my zip code in order to get results. So I typed it in, and was able to see all the companies who offered service in my area, right down to my neighborhood. There were a ton of providers to choose from! But it was all presented so neatly that it was simple for me to understand what they were all offering. It really helped me to figure out which plan was right for me.

There was no doubt that I needed a fast internet connection. I’m online constantly, watching movies and chatting. I’m even able to telecommute if I want to. So I can’t put up with slow internet – I have no time for that! Anyway, I found a few providers who offered high speed internet and compared them all for speed, dependability and good customer service. It was nice to actually be able to take some time to think about my choice.

I even discovered bundling, which was kind of neat. Bundling involves saving money when you subscribe to several services with the same company. I decided to go that way with my internet, phone and TV. And I ended up getting extra features along with my savings, too, like free TV shows and movies on demand. And it all goes on the same bill, which will be a real time saver for me.

Now that I know how much I was missing out on with the site I found that lets you compare broadband networks in your area, I’m wondering what else is out there. perhaps it’s time to change my impatient ways and see what 10 or 15 minutes of research will get me on the other things I want to buy. It definitely worked with my internet service, so why wouldn’t it work with other things, too?

Email dissolves..

Sep 28, 2010 in VOIP News

I recently went to  a conference that was focusing in on some tactics  of social media marketing. They talked about the normal  facebook, twitter, etc, and then they  began  saying things about the “hip hop generation.” It took me a few minutes  to realize that they were talking about the current generation of college students, and the fact that that included me a short  year ago. I could not  help but think  to myself about how misunderstood college aged students  are by older generations. I am a recent college graduate, myself, so fresh  out of college I feel I have a pretty   clear  perspective on this demographic. The speaker then began   talking  about email…saying that this new generation of college students don’t  even have email addresses any more…now this really got me. What was  this person talking about? How can someone be so out of touch that they think  this? I know I am quite  dependent upon  my gmail account…as are my peers. Not to mention the fact that at a majority of  universities you are assigned an email address as you enter the school…and that is the mode  through which professors/students communicate. Though I am not quite  sure what the “hip hop” generation really means , I’m   pretty  sure that most of the people I graduated with don’t  fit into that class, and I’m 100% positive  that email addresses are not a thing of the past , nor will they be in this next generation. Things like myspace, facebook and twitter pass through , but email is a very  different animal. If anything I feel that people have become more email-dependent. Email is the new snail mail, which was the new pony express. We have to get mail some how…may as well be quick as a flash. But, that is  just me….

Finding Internet Service Providers By Zip Code Saved Me Money

Sep 27, 2010 in VOIP News

I’ve always found it frustrating and annoying to search for internet service, because it seems like you have to visit tons of sites just to get the information you want. Recently my mom asked me to help her find service and I found a site that turned out to be really helpful. It let me search for internet service providers by zip code.

The site really helped me to narrow my search. In the past, I always searched by city, but living in Chicago, there are a bunch of providers here. But I knew that just because a provider offers service in the city, that doesn’t mean they offer service in my neighborhood. When I was able to search by zip code, I found that I got information that was a lot more relevant to my search.

I got the same helpful information when I typed in my mom’s zip code – all the providers near her popped right up. What’s more, there was actually information on the particular plans they offered. I went through a list of options with my mom and was able to help her narrow down her needs. She really only uses the internet for light stuff like reading e-mail and viewing pictures of her grandkids. Luckily there were some great plans that came at a low price.

One thing my mom didn’t have to worry about was contracts. She’s lived in the same house for over 30 years and she’s not going anywhere. However, when I used the same site to find out if there were better deals in my area, I didn’t want a contract. I don’t like being forced to stay with one company like that. I want to know that I can switch any time I want without having to pay a fee. There were a lot of options at the site I used.

Now that I’ve used a site that allows me to search for internet service providers by zip code, I’m never going back. I I was able to get current and relevant information for my area, as well as the area my mom lives in. We both have new plans now and we’re both paying less than we did before. The process was simple and it led to better service and a lower cost – I’d say that’s worth the few seconds it took.

Sep 24, 2010 in VOIP News

Are you searching for a person you think is detained in any one of the country’s jails? Get some ideas on what you can do to find this person from the following article.

If you are searching for convict in prison then the following passage has a few responses on how you can carry out this search . In the same manner there are people finders that are used for finding people in the general society there are also inmate locators that are used to locate people that are being held in some of the country’s jails. This data can be recovered from several sites since it is categorized as public data.

There are two methods to look for people through these records. You can either search by name and by location. The way that the states are managed, each one is liable for the preservation and upkeep of its own records. This implies that if you know the state where a person is being detained you will be able to access that state’s inmate records lookup through them. Slimming down the search in this way makes searching for prisoners in jail a n easier and quicker search.

After the states have compiled their individual records they are then added into a national database. Therefore; if you are uncertain of where a person is being detained you have an alternative of looking the national database up. The drawback of this is when there are more people that utilize a similar name as the person that you are searching for.

The search will bring back all the results that match the name that you entered and it is up to you to try and figure which is the person that you are looking for. This difficulty is normal to other kinds of people lookups and is not much when searching for convicts in prison. You can lookup with any one of the alternatives and they must work for you.
